As a Storekeeper user, you naturally want your orders to be automatically forwarded to Sendy for creating shipping labels. To do this, you
need to grant Storekeeper one-time permission to communicate with your Sendy account.
You do this using what’s called a Personal Access Token (the API key).
Follow the steps below to generate this token:
Step 1: Log In
● Go to app.sendy.nl and log in with your account credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to the settings
● In the menu, navigate to My Sendy.
● Look for the “Developers” section in the left-hand menu.
● Click on “Personal access tokens” in that section.
Step 3: Create
a new token ● On this page, click the “Add Token” button to generate a token.
Tip: Give the token a clear name (for example, “Storekeeper Integration”). This
way, you’ll always know exactly what this specific key is used
for later in the overview.
Step 4: Copy and enter
● Once you’ve created the token, a long code will appear on your screen. This
is a so-called JWT code (recognizable by a long string of letters and numbers
containing a colon).
● Copy this entire code.
● Go to the settings of the software you want to connect to Sendy and paste the
code into the appropriate API or Token field.
⚠ Important security tip: Treat this Personal Access Token like a
password. It grants direct access to your Sendy account. Store the code
securely and never share it publicly. If you suspect the code has
been compromised, go back to the Personal Access Tokens page in Sendy,
delete the compromised token, and create a new one immediately. As soon as
you delete it, you’ll immediately revoke access
⚠ Important tip: The generated code is valid for only 1 year and must therefore be renewed annually. To avoid problems, we recommend setting a reminder in your calendar right away and renewing the code 1–2 days before it expires.
